Doris Eleanor Hresko age 88, passed away Thursday September 8, 2016 at Senior Star at Weber Place in Romeoville.

Doris is survived by her nieces Betty Lou ( Nee Brands) Karulski, Dorothy ( Nee Brands) Reeves, Terry (Nee Strautz) Gibbons, Kathy (Nee Sharp) Swan, Maryanne (Nee Shroba) Kemp, and nephews Robert Brands, Mark Sharp, Michael Minarich, James Minarich, Stephen Shroba, and Sister –in – law Sue Minarich, numerous other relatives and friends survive.

Preceded in death by her husband Michael Hresko, parents Albert and Elsie (Nee Grohne) Hintrager, sisters Janice (Nee Hintrager) Strautz, and Helen (Nee Hintrager) Brands, nieces Carolyn Sue (Nee Strautz) Wegner and Juliann Minarich, and good friend Earl Horton.

Doris was a life long resident of Joliet, and a faithful friend to many in the Joliet area. She loved hosting fun parties for her many relatives and friends. She was an active member in the Will County Union King’s Daughters, Silver Cross Hospital, and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Joliet.
Funeral services for Doris will be held Monday September 19, 2016 11:30 am at the chapel in Elmhurst Cemetery 1212 East Washington Street in Joliet, IL . Pastor Peter Holmer Officiating. In llieu of flowers memorials may be made to Angels for Hospice.org.
